Tomei Strengthened Timing Belt Set 4G63 EVO VIII

Although the timing belt is common in the camshaft drive mechanism, the OEM design and specifications are not suitable for the tuned turbo charged engine. Durability of the belt is substantially reduced due to the higher rotation speeds of the engine and the installation of of a high lift camshaft also increases the transfer of torque from the performance valve spring, as well as the heat from the turbine, engine, and cooling system.

TOMEI's strengthened timing belt has upgraded the OEM nylon belt surface to a Kevlar fiber (Aramid), and raised the tensile strength at the time of high temperature while the H-NB rubber ingredients and the glass cable core were optimized and formed into a high intensity product. Consequently, the improvement in performance is achieved and the camshaft is correctly synchronized with the crankshaft even under severe conditions.
